Wildlife Seed

We provide some excellent protein sources for wildlife in the Northeast. You can plan your food plots to produce nutrition all throughout the growing season. We update our mixes with new improved varieties, as they become available. We are capable of doing custom mixes. Please contact us with your specific needs.

Wildlife Grazing Mixture
This mix produces a palatable, lush combination of legumes for deer grazing. It performs well on poorly drained soils of low fertility. Plant in areas that receive at least a half-day of sunlight. This mix can be planted in small food plots or large open fields. Sow 16 lbs per acre. A plot can last up to 6 years.

Rape/Turnip Mix
Turnip greens and rape produce 30% protein feed. They grow well in hot, dry weather as well being cold hardy and remaining green into December. You can sow it by overseeding an existing plot (1 to 2 lbs per acre) or sowing it alone at the rate of 5 lbs per acre. Count on planting every year, deer will probably eat it all in the first season.

Buckwheat
Buckwheat is great for deer and turkeys. It is easy to grow and is a great soil conditioner. Sow anytime June through August at 60 lbs per acre in areas where it receives at least a half day of sunlight.
